Swordfish


The Swordfish is the fastest ship in the Cyan Zorth fleet.
It's designed for air combat with a focus on small and medium ships.

The Swordfish carries 4 heatseeking torpedo's and has a large Obsidian laser, both are used against enemy frigates.
The Swordfish also carries a large assault bomb that can quickly destroy enemy ground troops and bases.

With 3 small lasers and a hanger with 3 Mosquito's the Swordfish is also excellent against enemy fighters.

Interesting Facts

  • The fastest ship in the Cyan Zorth Army.
  • Excels in air to air combat against fighters and frigates.
  • Extremely agile due to the 4 small support engines in the tail, only fighters can manoeuvre faster, but no other bigger ship.
  • Has a powerful main laser and 3 small ones, all manned.
  • Has a fully equipped fighter bay for 3 Mosquito fighters.
  • Due to the lack of stairs this ship can only support normal Zorths, since the bigger Zorths cannot climb the small ladders.
  • Since the ship lacks facilities for even a Zorth officer, the pilot is considered the commander. It's one of the most honored jobs a normal Zorth can have.
  • Has no Viscount like the Hawk, but has a large storage of Powercubes
  • Because of this the Swordfish doesn't have a hyperdrive, but still has a wide range of operation.

This small vehicle can extract both wings and legs depending on it's current mission.


It's mostly used for transport, both troops and containers. But it also has a small laser to help in both air and ground combat.



With legs unfolded the Hornet is one of the best in crossing rough terrain.

With wings and legs retracted the Hornet is rather small. This allows them to use small landing platforms and a Hawk to have a hangar with 2 Hornets.

With wings and legs retracted the Hornet can also use Zorth monorails.

Interesting facts

The Fury is the largests of all Zorth fighters.
One reason for this is that the Fury is manned by a Red Zorth Pilot, a cyberneticly improved Red Zorth Soldier.
Those Zorths need more room than the common Zorths who pilot the fighters from other Zorth factions.

Tarzonu

The Mining Facility

The Cyan colored materials you often see in Cyan Zorth ships and buildings are usually alloys of solid ender.

 
All this solid ender is mined on one asteroid, Tarzonu.
Tarzonu main focus is solid ender mining and distribution.


Tarzonu has 2 large distinctive towers with living areas and a center tower where the village officer is situated.


Hornets come and go all day, transporting the solid ender throughout the Cyan Zorth county.


There is plenty of solid ender on the surface, so no large drills are needed.
The mining is done by small 1 manned drill ships.

File sharing question

I'm soon ready to share my world so far and some schematic files, but I'm still unsure which fileshare to use.

There are a lot of free large file share providers, but most have annoying wait times and lots of popups and ads.
While some others I tried have too low max file sizes or they allow bigger files but remove them after a few days of inactivity.

Could anyone recommend me one?

Hawk


The flying fortress.




The Hawk is a Cyan Zorth Viscount's ship.

The Hawk doesn't need lots of energy cube storage because it is continiously powered by the Viscount's immense bio energy when he's sitting on his throne, at the center of the bridge. 

The energy output the Viscount can sustain is high enough for a Hawk to have a hyperdrive. 

The hyperdrive and Viscount power allow a Hawk to operate on its own far away and without pitstops for a very long time, making the ship perfect for exploration and reconnaissance.



The Hawk has 2 hangars, 1 with 2 Hornets and 1 with 6 Mosquito's.

The Hornets in ground assault mode help the Hawk in exploring asteroids, they can also land Soldiers and Goliaths.

The Hornets in flight mode combined with the 6 Mosquito's are a big part of the Hawk's defenses against enemy fighters and frigates.

Interesting facts


  • The 2 hornets in a Hawk hanger are usually not loaded with containers but with soldiers and Goliaths.
  • The Hawk has a big array of sensors, radar, sonar, antenna's for exploration of unknown asteroids.
  • The extra large Obsidian lasers are excellent against bigger ships, since they can penetrate their hulls easily. 
  • The Hawk has regeneration chambers for normal Zorths, Soldiers and even 1 large chamber for big Zorths like the Goliath and Viscount.
  • The Hawk can only land on specialised landing platforms.

Common Zorths do all kinds of jobs, miner, fighter pilot, farmer, mechanic, etc etc. They are not really capable of physical fighting though. That's where the soldiers come in.

Tardorus

The Worm breeder

 



Zorth are not the only ones who like the solid ender that formed over milennia on asteroids like Tardorus and Tarzonu.

Because it is inhabited, especially Tardorus is infested with Enderworm eggs. These aliens feed on the solid ender until they are big enough to eat almost anything and grow even bigger.

They are very aggressive when approached and have a weird shielding skin that protects against laser.

Mosquito's, soldiers and Goliaths often manage to shoot him in the mouth which after enough blasts kills them eventually.

Swordfish assault bombs are needed for the biggest ones.

The Sowbug is the Cyan Zorth ground assault tank.
With its large hovering field it can float above any groundtype.




The Sowbug can quickly deploy 3 Scorpions, 6 Goliath and 12 soldiers to the ground.

  • Primary vehicle for deploying troops and scorpions on asteroids

  • Superb hovering and fast vertical take of and landing due to the large hoveringfield.

Scorpion

The rogue

When this stealthy vehicle goes into low power mode it's almost impossible to notice, both visually and on scanners. Especially during the night.
It's often used for exploration, spy and recon missions.



The scorpion has a nasty tail laser, which does a lot of damage for such a small vehicle, but it takes some time to rebuild power after it fired. 


 
The Scorpion doesn't have flying capabilities but is deployed to asteroids by a Sowbug, which has a hangar with 3 Scorpions. 



Zorth units with legs, like the Scorpion and Hornet are very good in dealing with rough terrain.

Vordoruva

The infested asteroid


The sulfur pools of Vordoruva attract an alien species called the Critten.


Even when they are small they are a huge threat to the Zorth since the venom stings they shoot can penetrate hulls and do critical damage to Zorths instanly. And if not the poison often kills them in minutes if they don't immediately visit a regeneration room.


The bigger Critten are an ever bigger problem.

They are highly aggressive and often multiple Sowbug squadrons are needed to deal with this plague, with their regeneration rooms running full time to keep the Zorth soldiers alive.

Officer

The strategist.


The Zorth Officer is essentially an improved soldier.
He is as much capable of combat as a Zorth soldier.

But he also excels in outsmarting others.

This is due to some special cybernetic nano implants that are situated in the colored top layer of the Officers body.


This makes this Zorth's brain more capable of strategic thinking.
Especially the part of the brain that covers leading, planning, politics and tactics is highly developed.

The implants also allow the officer to wield a cyan glass saber which is lighter than the obidian sabers, allowing the officer to make quicker moves than soldiers.



These Zorths are usually leading armies, but also things like buildings, hangars and repair bays,  and even some ships and asteroids.

It's an asteroid on the outskirts of the Cyan Zorth County.

Cyan Zorth Viscounts can usually be found in or near their Hawk.
These impressive frigates totally depend on the Viscount's bio energy output for their power. 


When the Viscount sits down on his throne at the center of the bridge, the Hawk immediately powers up.

Relaxation, Regeneration and Restoration


Arrarrar has everything for Zorths who need to regenerate, chill out and heal.
It has a first aid bay, regeneration rooms, entertainment area and the top bar has the only supply of purple Zorth powercubes in the neighbourhood.
